A petite polychrome Casas Grandes bowl and a pottery Tesuque Rain Deity figurine. The bowl's exterior features interlocking stepped and spiraling motifs in red and black on a buff ground. The hand-built terracotta sculpture depicts a seated "Rain Deity" with a pot on his lap. The Tesuque Pueblo people began crafting small pottery figurines, such as this one, to sell as rain deities, encouraging tourist sales.
