Prussian Model of1809 "Potsdam" Musket, .71 caliber, this one being a percussion conversion stamped 'Potsdam' with crown crest above on the lock plate. Features walnut stock with brass buttplate, barrel bands, and trigger guard; original steel ramrod and 51" barrel with front and rear sight. Butt plate is stamped with date, 1835, as well as unit markings and serial number, "9.L.W.R. 2C 149." All brass fittings and barrel stamped with matching numbers. Both sling loops are missing although both studs are present, one retention bolt is also missing from lock plate. Wood has some dings and scratches, some surface rust to barrel and locking mechanism although no significant pitting, and a nice patina to all brass fittings with some corrosion to the trigger guard.
