**The base is sturdy and solid, exhibiting no movement at the glue joints.
The surface appears to be a polished original finish, probably French polished. It exhibits normal blemishes, rubbing and wear, most beneath the finish. A few normal chips and flakes to the edges of carved surfaces.
The marble top appears to be original. It is dirty and has some stains.
There are missing moldings at the lower brackets where they rest on the marble, as well as some missing moldings at the feet. Four wooden escutcheons are missing from the doors/drawers. One drawer pull has lost its knob. A lock is missing from a side swing-out door. No key.
