50 cal. Percussion with 2" barrel, gold inlaid maker's mark 'V. Vivario-Plomdeur, Aqr du Roi a Liege', with fancy engraved lock plate, hammer, nipple, trigger guard and butt cap, silver shield and silver wire scrollwork in the horn, ribbed grip, 6" long overall, in fitted case with bullet mold. Loss to rim of one hammer. Auguste PLOMDEUR was a gunmaker (arquebusier) in Paris 1845-1870, he succeeded his father Jacques-Joseph PLOMDEUR who was a gunmaker in Liege (Belgium) and Paris (1825-1840) and applied for several patents related to percussion caps.
