This lot comprises two precision-engineered die-cast metal model tanks representing significant armored vehicles from the mid-20th century. The first model is a Danbury Mint M48A3 Patton Main Battle Tank, representing a vehicle used by the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. The model is constructed of die-cast metal and features a hand-painted olive drab finish. Visible markings include the registration USMC 202149 on the hull, TULA C34 inscribed on the main gun barrel, and unit designation C34 alongside a yellow shield insignia featuring the characters TK. The turret is detailed with individual spare track links and a mounted searchlight. This item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Danbury Mint registered to Mr. A. Balestra. The second model is a Franklin Mint Precision Models M4A3E8 Easy Eight Sherman medium tank. This model represents the late-World War II and Korean War variant featuring the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension system and a 76mm main gun with a muzzle brake. The olive drab hull and turret are marked with white U.S. Army star insignia. The front hull features the painted designation M4A3E8. Additional details include a turret-mounted .50 caliber machine gun and simulated accessory stowage on the rear deck. An accompanying card from Franklin Mint Precision Models identifies the manufacturer and notes the piece was crafted in China.
