Old Large Signed Chinese Silk Thangka featuring a seated Buddha with standing monks in an elaborate palace interior, Chinese, Tibetan or Nepal, Republic era or antique Qing, painting on silk with silk matting, 44.75 x 33 inches visible image, 67 x 41 inch visible matting, 76.4 x 49.8 x 2 inches framed, signed and or inscribed vertically on pillars lower center. Modern gilt and patinated frame molding including a solid narrow black liner, likely glazed with plexiglass. Provenance: Family living in Asia after WWII retired to Florida.

Composition appears to have vertical seamed panels with some lines visible, some edge of image scumbling, otherwise very nice and sound. Frame has sides of corners wear and scattered edge wear.
