Two good examples:

1. A nice example lettered DOG TRAY NUTCRACKER top of the base which is cast in openwork, and further lettered HARPER SUPPLY CO. NO. CHICAGO PAT APL'D on the underside of the base which retains rare original red paint. The dog with hairy coat has its original black enamel paint.

2. A second rare example on platform base with outer frame and four feet.
