Kranich & Bach, New York, Rosewood Parlor Grand Piano

mid-19th century, in the rococo taste, the rectilinear case with a scalloped apron, on cabriole legs with a leaf- and fruit-carved cartouche at the knees and scroll toes, the pedal mechanism of lyre form, h. 41", w. 99-3/4", d. 40", together with a late 19th-/early 20th-century walnut and iron stool with a rotating and extending serpentine cushion on a tripodal base, h. 20-3/4".

    Condition:
  • **The top of the lid has some scars, scuffs and imperfections. There is also sun-fading where the key-cover folds back. Minor dings to the legs. A visual inspection of the soundboard shows no apparent cracks. All of the the keys are intact with no chips. Some key veneers appear to be replacements as there is inconsistency in their color. All of the keys strike to some extent; however, with varying degrees of impact. It is out of tune.
Please note that this piano has not been examined by a technician.
