Paper affixed to verso reads: "I bought these at a Park Cities Gallery Auction. Later I saw them in a Spiegel catalog ad." Cutout affixed to verso reads: "Spiegel Catalog 1984 [handwritten]. Classics A. REFLECTIONS IN WATER B. GATHERING FLOWERS by Louis Cardin Luminous landscapes created in jewel-like tones of enamel on copper, hand-signed and dated by the artist. As many as ten shades of enamel, applied in separate payers, give these original works of art their unique tonal intensity. Elegantly framed in carved Louis XV-style frames of solid hardwood with antique gold-tone finish, each 13 1/2" x 15 1/4".
