A multi-volume set from the Architectural Treasures of Early America series, published by the National Historical Society in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, circa 1987. The books are bound in matching dark green leatherette with gilt-stamped titles and decorative bands on the spines. This series is a compilation of architectural studies originally featured in the White Pine Series of Architectural Monographs. The volumes included are: New England by the Sea (III), Homes of New York and Connecticut (V), Early Architecture of Rhode Island (VI), Village Architecture of Early New England (VII), Early American Southern Homes (VIII), The Evolution of Colonial Architecture (IX), Early American Community Structures (X), Blueprints for America's Past (XI), The Southern Tradition (XII), Styles of the Emerging Nation (XIII), The Grandeur of the South (XIV), The Georgian Heritage (XV), and Spirit of New England (XVI). The NHS publisher logo is printed at the base of each spine. The interior of each volume contains extensive black and white photographic illustrations, architectural plans, and descriptive text documenting historic American buildings and interiors from the 17th through the early 19th centuries. Specific subjects depicted include The Lindens in Danvers, Massachusetts, and Elmwood in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Large items, such as furniture, large signs, neon, etc, will exclusively be FOR PICK-UP ONLY or for private courier delivery as selected by the winning bidder or recommended local agent from Atlee Raber Auctions.


The buyer is free to contact any shipping company they wish, as shipment is not limited to the agents provided by Atlee Raber Auctions.
