Suite of Eight English Oak Ladderback Dining Chairs
19th century, consisting of two armchairs and six side chairs, each with a paneled flat crest above four tapering ladderbacks, the rush seats raised on tapering circular legs ending in pad feet on balls.

**The side chairs are tight at their joints. The larger armchair exhibits movement in the leg/seat joints and arms. The smaller armchair is loose where one arm joins its support, presumably a dowel joint.
The surfaces exhibit normal mars, rubbing and wear consistent with age and use.
Most all of the rush seats have breaks or losses in their woven rush, but appear to remain tight enough to be functional.
