Iceland Spar-Viking Sunstone Calcite Crystal

Up for bid at this auction is one rhombohedral crystal of transparent calcite. It is known for its double refraction properties. The Vikings, as the story goes, used this stone to navigate the oceans. Great natural science gift. This is a stock photo. All specimens are nice and at the very least 1in.usually much more in area.
