Ancient Greece, Cyprus / Cypriot, ca. 6th to 5th century BCE. A pleasing pottery head of a female presenting characteristic Cypriot features such as sizable, heavy-lidded eyes, a pointed nose, full lips, and a narrow chin. Her wavy coiffure is pulled back and covered by a headdress or veil. This lady may have been part of a votary figure or served as a protome. Size: 1.6" W x 2.5" H (4.1 cm x 6.4 cm); 4.8" H (12.2 cm) on included custom stand.
