Description: ca. 1788; anonymous artist following the pattern of the "cross-legged angel artist" in two cross-legged angel primitive form in ink with watercolor accent, watercolor flowers to each side of script, upper verse surrounded by a laurel wreath design and script announcing the "Blessed birth of Jacob Heussler, son of George Jacob Heussler and wire Anna, Born a Hoffman, Born Feb. 2, 1788 in Township of Colebrookdell, Berks Co..." (translated roughly), 14"x 10" framed; [Provenance: ex-Clyde Youtz Collection]

Condition Report: Extensive creasing & tears to paper; Late frame; Possibly bound to linen backer; Spelling of last name on Fraktur is Heuszler, which is Heussler, Englicized to Heisler family; Jacob Heisler Sr. born Feb 2, 1788 & died April 19, 1866 is buried in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Cemetery in Tamaqua, PA

Payment: Payment for online invoices must be made using MasterCard or Visa (unless other arrangements are made prior to the auction). Bidder will be notified of purchase price, shipping charges, and credit card service fee by Tuesday of the week following the auction. Payment is due on notification of total invoice. The internet service fee is 10% of the hammer price. 3% credit card service fee will be added to all invoices. Items must be removed from our auction facility within seven (7) days or be charged a monthly fee of $15.

Buyer's Premium: A 10% service fee will be charged to all successful online bidders. This amount includes 5% paid to the auctioneer and 5% paid to the internet platform. Shipping charges per the Ephrata UPS Store will be added to purchase price. Additionally, a 3% credit card surcharge will be added to the total of all invoices, unless other payment is arranged prior to auction.

Taxes: All buyers will pay Pennsylvania sales tax of 6% unless a valid Tax Exemption Identification is on file or presented at time of purchase or items are being shipped out of state.
