Romain de Tirtoff (Erte) (Russian French, 1892-1990). A limited edition bronze sculpture. Titled, "Ready for the Ball," produced 1990 after an original Art Deco work by the artist. A figural group depicting a female figure in a double image: one depicted in a slim bodice of gold cloth, with long tasseled gold train falling from her shoulders, black satin shirt draped to bodice, and pulled through a motif of jet and gold with a distinctly Egyptian flair; the opposing figure modeled with a gorgeous wrap of black satin sleeves, striped with gold and fastened to a rolled collar of gold and black. Presented on a rectangular platform style base with impressed Greek key meander decoration design. Impressed foundry stamp with copyright date and limited edition number to back 1990 CHALK & VERMILION AND SEVENARTS 320 of 375. Produced during Erte's lifetime.

Dimensions: 18 X 22 X 4.25 in.

Condition: Good overall condition having normal age related surface wear. Estate fresh to the market.
