Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom period, Dynasties 18th to 20th, ca. 1549 to 1077 BCE. A wonderful faience ushabti enveloped in rich turquoise glaze with black painted details. Standing mummiform with a hoe in each hand, the figure wears a tripartite wig and carries a central seed bag with other implements on its back. A vertical band of hieroglyphs is featured on the front of the figure, likely identifying who it was made for. Size: 5.3" L x 1.8" W (13.5 cm x 4.6 cm)
