Columbia type AK first style disc horn phonograph. This uncommon machine and its decorative cabinet has been stripped, refinished and decal reapplied some time ago. The cabinet is in overall fair condition with some staining, as well as a few chips and scrapes here and there. See photos. It has unmarked Columbia long throat reproducer, which attaches to reproduction leather elbow. That is attached to an original black and brass Columbia horn. The horn measures 9.5" diameter bell by 14" long. The bell is in overall good condition, however there is a minor crack near the edge, as well as a few dings. The black body of the horn has some remaining original paint but has been partially repainted. It has the original lower horn support bracket and horn cradle with original nickel plating in fair condition. This hardware is unique to this early variant of this machine and is not often seen. It has the original cast iron turntable with replacement felt. The motor bed plate has original nickel plating in fair condition with some pitting and rust. It has replacement mounting screws. It has original winding crank and motor winds and runs.
