CIVIL WAR UNION VICKSBURG CAMPAIGN LETTERS, LOT OF TWO, each two-page double-sided ink on lined paper, written by C. C. Ammack with copious amounts of war content, one from Helena (Mississippi) dated March 6th, 1863, talking about the Yazoo Pass, the second from "Camp near Vicksburg" dated July 5th, 1863, talking about occupied Vicksburg, including 30,000 prisoners, and "Vicksburg is a desolate gloomy Godforsaken looking place..." 1863. 9 3/4" x 8". 

    Condition:
  • Each is complete and very readable, but with separations at the folds, one with sections detached.
