Charles A. Reynolds Pulp Fiction Drawings. By African American artist Charles A. Reynolds. Charles A Reynolds of Philadelphia and Washington, DC was an African American . The artist was born in September 1927 and attended the PhiladelphiaMuseum College of Art from 1945 through 1949. After graduating, he briefly did freelance work, including work for the Philadelphia Inquirer, before enlisting or being drafted for military service in December 1950. In the mid 1950s, herelocated to Washington DC, and served as an illustrator for the Heraldic Services Division of the US Army. He remained as an illustrator for the Army through at least the early 1980s, attaining the title of Chief, Design and IllustrationDivision at the Army Institute of Heraldry in Cameron Station, Alexandria, Virginia, During his Army career, he received steady and regular promotions and lived in Washington, DC. In addition to his Army illustrations, Reynoldsproduced illustrations depicting various African tribal groups, 'psychedelic abstracts', as well as conventional illustrations, erotic art, and art illustrating contemporary Social issues. Size: 30" x 40" art board.
