Conditions and Descriptions: All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults. Lakelands Auction Services has endeavored to accurately describe all items being sold. All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults. There are no warranties or representations of merchantability, of fitness, nor of any other kind, express or implied. All items are available for your examination prior to bidding. Your bidding will signify that you have examined the items as fully as desired, or that you have chosen not to examine them. Please note that photographs may have had size modifications for display purposes, or been trimmed to exclude framing, matting, and wide blank margins. Also, imperfections from the photography process can include reflections and variations in color due to digital processing. Lakelands Auction Services shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear, imperfections, or aging. Any condition statement, written or verbal is given as a courtesy to the client and is only an opinion. It should not be treated as a statement of fact. Written and oral descriptions are our opinions and should in no way be construed as a guarantee of any kind as to age, condition, materials, or any other feature of items being sold. Our goal is to provide prospective bidders with accurate and detailed information. We recommend prospective bidders examine all items in which they have an interest. If you require absolute certainty in all areas of authenticity, and the results of your evaluation leave uncertainty in your mind, we recommend you not bid on the item in question. Estimates provided are our opinion of the price that a willing buyer would pay for the property at auction. These estimates are neither a representation nor a prediction of the actual selling price that will be realized at auction. All sales are final. No statement written or oral made by the auctioneer shall be deemed a warranty or assumption of liability by Lakelands Auction services. or by any seller represented by Lakelands Auction services. Lakelands Auction Services reserves the right to withdraw any property before the sale. The preview for the sale will be one day before the sale, or by appointment.
Payment: Payment may be made by cash (In House Only), bank wire transfer, personal check, or MasterCard/Visa/Amex/Discover. We reserve the right to require bank checks for large purchases. When purchasing certain items, including precious metals, coins and jewelry, by first time buyers not known to Lakelands Auction Services, payment may be required via check or wire transfer. We do not ship any item payment via check has cleared our bank. Payment is expected within 5 business days of the auction end.
Invoices: If shipping is required we cannot forward you a payment invoice until your items are packed and the shipping cost has been determined. This may take us 4 business days to achieve. Shipping costs are added to your invoice and you will be forwarded two invoices: one will reflect your purchases, fees and shipping (if applicable). The second will be a payment invoice directly from our company through which you can enter a card of your choosing and pay. We DO NOT automatically charge your card on file.
BID CHANGES AND DELETION: We DO NOT and CAN NOT change or delete bids. As the bidder, you can change or delete any bid yourself within your account settings.
Refunds: No refund will be given until the item is returned in its original condition at the bidder's expense. Upon receipt, we will issue a refund to the card used at purchase. Lakelands Auction Services does control the time required for the refund to post to your credit card. We do not refund shipping costs.
Refunds for Damaged Goods: A refund will not be given until an insurance claim has been filed and settled with the appropriate shipper. As the shipper, Lakelands Auction Services must file all insurance claims. In order to do so the following must be provided by the buyer: proof of damage (photo) and a photo of the box and packing.
Shipping Terms
Control of Package: Once a bidder's package has been dropped off or picked up by USPS or UPS it is no longer in the control of Lakelands Auction Services. Each bidder will be emailed a tracking number that provides all the data available on their shipment. Contacting Lakelands Auction Services will not provide any further data than that provided by your tracking number.
Pick-Up & Shipping:
The Pick-up location is listed in the auction details. Bidders will also be mailed immediately following the auction with pickup, payment, and shipping data.
Lakelands Auction Services manages all shipping in-house. We pack each item, calculate actual shipping costs, and add a $5 per package handling fee.
Items left longer than five business days will be assessed a storage fee of $10.00 per day, per item. Items purchased at an estate or other facility must be picked two calendar days following the auction at the address and times provided for the specific auction location. Any item not removed within this time frame will be assessed a $25 per item relocation fee for smaller items (boxable) and a $50 per item relocation fee for larger items (non-boxable). Once relocated a $10.00 per day, per item storage will be assessed.
The purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees, and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Lakelands Auction Services. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Lakelands Auction Services will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items. All items will be shipped to the address on your online invoice. Sending us a different ship-to address is no guarantee your purchase will be sent to a different address.
