This vintage poster advertises Force cereal, the first wheat flake cereal in the US that was a commercial success. It was introduced in 1902 and Sunny Jim, the character on the poster, was recognized across the country. It was said that he was as recognizable as the president. He was a previously downhearted man until he found Force cereal, and as the add says, it gave him “vigor and vim.” The early graphics for the brand were created by Kauffman. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
