Shipping

POSTAGE, INSURANCE & TAX - All shipping and handling costs and associated fees are to be paid for by the winning bidder prior to shipment of auction winnings. IF SHIPPING FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED, THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING AND PAYING FOR SHIPPING OF THESE ITEMS. DANA J. THARP AUCTIONS WILL NOT BE SHIPPING FURNITURE, STANDS, ARTWORK, AND OTHER ITEMS. We do ship small items through our auction house. It is to our discretion if we ship items or have a third party handle shipping. A minimum charge of $7.00 for shipping, handling and insurance fees will be added to invoices for material that is shipped. We must ask all customers who use a P.O. Box for their mailing address to include a UPS/FedEx address for our files when shipment of larger lots becomes necessary. Ohio residents are responsible for sales tax (7.25%) and it will be added to their invoice unless proper exempt status documentation has been filled out PRIOR to the sale. Dana J. Tharp Auctions handles most shipping internally, although larger items/lots are beyond our shipping capabilities. If your invoice has an amount included for shipping, then we will be doing the shipping internally. If your invoice does not include shipping, then refer you to our local UPS store to facilitate the shipping costs associated with your items through them. Suggestions only for shipping include: Craters and Freighters at 888-272-8311 [email protected], or Allied Piano at 216-451-0395 [email protected] for shipping quotes on larger items. THE BUYER MAY CHOOSE ANY SHIPPING COMPANY THEY LIKE. THESE ARE SUGGESTIONS OF LOCAL SHIPPERS. Shipping: All items will be shipped United States Postal System Priority mail, or FedEx. Any invoices totaling over $500.00, will be shipped signature required. Any invoices totaling over $1000.00 will be shipped adult signature required. Any invoice totaling over $1500.00 will be shipped Registered Mail. Buyers are responsible for all Shipping, Insurance and Handling costs. These costs will be added to your invoice. There is a minimum $7.00 charge for all invoices for handling of purchased items. Once the item leaves the premises from Dana J. Tharp Auctions, we are no longer responsible for damage or loss. If damage or loss occurs from a third party shipper, the buyer will need to file a claim with that shipping company.
