2 - Gun Colt M1911 US Army Mfg 1912 Pistol .45 ACP An incredible example of a very early production Colt M1911 with a 4 digit serial number placing its manufacture as the first full year of adoption: 1912. These early military pistols have features unique to the era that would be replaced by the later M1911a1, most notably an unscalloped frame, straight mainspring housing, lanyard loop, and longer trigger. This example appears to contain all original parts. The slide reads “PATENTED APR 20.1897 COLT PT.FA MFG CO. SEPT 9 1902. DEC 19. 1905 FEB 14 1911 HARTFORD CT USA” With a rampant pony roll mark behind the slide serrations on one side and “MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY” On the opposite side, with an H Stamp in the rear above the firing pin. The frame reads “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” on the dust cover with the stylized WPG proof marks just behind the trigger. The Opposite side of the frame has the serial number “No 7546”. The grips appear to be original as well, and pistol does not appear to have been refinished. The Magazine is a later Colt / Scoville subcontract USGI magazine with a C above the Toe and a C-S on the bottom. The Pistol has Routine wear consistent with military issue and holster use; however, it appears to be in good mechanical order. This would be the gem of any collection, and the scarcity of 1912 models has made them grails for anyone interested in the development of the 1911, WWI, Colt firearms, US Small arms, or the design history of John Moses Browning. 5 - Firearm US Springfield Mod 1870 Infantry Rifle An exceptional, investment-grade specimen of an original US Springfield Model 1870 "First Version" Trial Trapdoor infantry rifle. Produced in extremely limited quantities for the post-Civil War military cartridge trials, only 1,000 total units of this specific First Version configuration were manufactured by Springfield Armory between 1870 and 1871. Bearing the remarkably low serial number 985 on the left side of both the receiver frame and barrel arch, this rifle is one of the final fifteen built in the entire historic trial run. It features the signature short-nosed receiver layout with the original rear flip sight mounted immediately forward of the receiver ring so that the sight leaf rests directly on top of the frame face when down. The left side of the walnut stock proudly displays a rare, coveted "ESA" oval cartouche—denoting personal inspection by Master Armorer and Trapdoor designer Erskine S. Allin. The lock plate retains its crisp Civil War provenance, stamped with the Springfield Armory Eagle and an "1863" date, while the top of the breechblock displays the prominent "1870" production stamp. Accompanying the rifle is its period-correct U.S. Model 1855/1870 socket bayonet stamped with prominent "B US" property marks. The bayonet features a fully functional locking ring and a factory cold-swaged socket reduced in diameter by the arsenal to seamlessly fit this specialized .50-70 barrel. 16 - Gun Imperial Japanese Arsenal Type 30 Arisaka 6.5 An exceptionally scarce artifact from the birth of modern Japanese military power, this Imperial Japanese Type 30 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle is a premium collector's piece. Designed by Baron Nariakira Arisaka and adopted in 1897 (the 30th year of the Meiji reign), this rifle was produced at the Koishikawa (Tokyo) Arsenal and served as Japan's primary combat longarm during the Russo-Japanese War (1904–1905). This highly desirable example remains in an exceptionally rare, pristine state, proudly retaining its completely unaltered, unground Imperial 16-petal Chrysanthemum ("Mume") symbol on the top of the receiver ring. 19 - Gun WWI Colt M1911 Semi Auto Pistol .45 ACP A fantastic example of a WWI era M1911 made in 1918. These early military pistols have features unique to the era that would be replaced by the later M1911a1, most notably an unscalloped frame, straight mainspring housing, lanyard loop, and longer trigger. The serial number on this example places it as being manufactured in 1918. The entire gun was re-parkerized, a common trait for firearms still in US Arsenals during WWII and following years. The grips also appear to be postwar checkered wood. The frame is inspections stamped with Si6 and the eagles head correct for a 1918 manufactured colt 1911, and the slide retains the correct roll marks and sights. Pistol is in very good condition, with minor wear consistent with holster use. The Magazine is also original WWI with an R stamp on the top lip of the toe, indicating manufacture by the subcontractor Risdon Tool & Machine Co. 22 - Gun 1942 Luger P08 Semi Auto Pistol 9mm One of the most iconic handguns in the 20th century, the Luger was a robust, mechanically fascinating, and very successful pistol made in Germany. The P08 designation comes from the German military who issued the pistol for service primarily during WW1 and into WW2. This late example was made in 1942 by Mauser with an BYF factory code. It appears to have been professionally restored, with a beautiful straw finish on the safety selector, trigger, magazine release button, and takedown lever. All visible numbers appear to match, with the exception of the magazine which is unmarked, however no serial number is present on the barrel and the serial on the frame is in an uncommon spot, under the barrel, with a 5 digit number. This fascinating piece of history would be just as ideal in a shadow box as it would be at the range. Appears to be in good working order. 27 - Gun Winchester 1894 Lever Action Rifle .30 WCF The Winchester Model 1894 is one of the most recognizable and widely used lever action rifles in American firearms history, produced by Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Introduced in 1894 and manufactured for well over a century, the Model 94 became a favorite among hunters, ranchers, and outdoorsmen due to its lightweight design, quick handling, and dependable lever action operation. This example was manufactured in 1901 and sports a handsome 26” octagonal barrel with a Marbles Sheard front sight. Appears to be in good working order. 170 - Firearm Colt Single Action Army Mfg 1886 .44 CF Designed for the 1872 US Service revolver trials, the Colt “Peacemaker” 1873 is among the most famous and recognizable firearms ever made. The frame on this example was manufactured in 1886 and sports a 4.75” Barrel. The barrel is absent of any caliber designation however the “COLT’S PT.F.A MFG CO HARTFORD CT U.S.A.” rollmark is legible along the top. The Grip and trigger assembly have identical serial numbers to each other but separate from the frame and a .44 CF designation. The Serial number places their manufacture at 1881. Being the correct serial number for the black powder range of frames, this example has the early style of takedown screw for disassembly. The Grips appear to have been refinished and undersized but are a correct one-piece Walnut. Mechanically, this revolver appears to be in good working order. Because this firearm was made before 1898 it is considered an antique and does not require an FFL to facilitate the purchase. 173 - Gun Webley Mk IV Revolver .38 Cal The Webley Mk IV .38 revolver was initially developed during the early 1920s in response to a War Office requirement for a pistol which was lighter and easier to handle than the existing .455 service pistols. Unfortunately for Webley, the Enfield No 2 Mk 1 pistol was adopted for service instead. Notwithstanding, Webley put the Mk IV .38 into production for commercial sale. The expansion of the armed forces during the Second World War resulted in a shortage of pistols. As a consequence, around 126,000 Webley Mk IV .38 revolvers were purchased by the Ministry of Supply from 1940 onwards. This example bears the mark 'War Finish', which was intended to alert those seeing it to the fact that they could expect a superior standard of finish on peacetime Webley products.
