An unusual stoneware jug with handle, having cursive inscription for "J.J. Wood/ Druggist/ Maysville KY". An unusual inscription form with a flourishing script. Maker is unknown, though John & Ezekiel Wood held a pottery company for many years in Maysville, and John's father was named Jesse and was also a potter. Also with a pinched handle. Ht. 10".
