PACKED, WOW!!! (Day 1; Books & Box Lots)

TODAY (DAY 1) is books and box lots only - ANGELICA, NEW YORK - THIS IS DAY 1 of a 2-DAY AUCTION (DAY 2 is Saturday October 26 at 10:30am... two days after this one). In a town who's slogan is "A Town Where History Lives".... we are selling some of it to the highest bidder.  When you talk "Pillars of a Community" the Dewey family certainly was just that for this small but very proud Historic Town of Angelica, New York.  After years and years of collecting themselves, but because of them also moving into this house their parents' collections after they passed decades ago, Ambrose and Maisie's house is difficult to walk through, and I'm not sure what I will find, but can tell this will be a good one folks because "If it's a SR Burt & Sons Auction, You KNOW It's Good One" folks.  On top of that are two more factors that make this an important auction. First, also included will be the various collections and famous waffle business items of their late son, and my friend, Kevin who passed away a few years ago at the age of 64, AND the fact that this home was actually the Allegany County Jail from 1819 thru the 1890s. Just by looking a little I see many items in the house still original to that historic jail era!!  As many know, and historical books have been written about, several hangings took place in the Park Circle, and behind this old jail too!!! We will also be offering an EXTREMELY RARE ITEM folks... a 200 year old Jail Cell ORIGINAL TO THIS BUILDING!!!  What else WILL I find???? TERMS: Cash or personal check with appropriate ID.  All bidders, without exception, whether we know you or not, will have a photo taken of you holding your bid number that will be erased at the conclusion of our paperwork.  WE DO NOT ADD ANY STUPID BUYER'S PREMIUM TO YOUR BIDS WHEN YOU CHECK OUT FOLKS...just sales tax.  If you are tax exempt, bring certificate with you and fill out and sign forms at out check-in table.
