Lot: 1 - 17C QUEEN ANNE 1/2 CANNON BARREL FLINTLOCK PISTOL

English Queen Anne half stocked silver mounted cannon barrel flintlock pistol. Side plate engraved T something illegible. London proof marks to the breech. Silver escutcheon to the grip. Silver grotesque mask butt cap. Silver stand of arms side plate. Repair to plate on left side of pistol. Lucite case not included. Queen Anne Pistols are thought to have been produced as early as 1660 although they did not become popular until the early 1700s during the reign of Queen Anne of Great Britain. The Queen Anne style was used throughout the expanding British empire. Outside of Great Britain Queen Anne pistols are thought to have been carried during the American Revolution. Flint still in place. All pieces move. Measures 12.5" x 2" x 5.5" cocked.

Borje Skohg (1923-2006) sterling silver overlay on meditation stone. Signed on bottom. Borje Skohg (1923-2006) Oskar Borne Skohg, artist and ceramicist, was born in Mora, Sweden. He studied at Konstfack in Stockholm 1948-49, then at Stockholm Art School in 1955, and was employed at Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik starting 1947. Excellent condition. Measures 3" x 4" x 1.5".

Jim Lewk signed brutalist torched copper "Fisherman" on stone plinth, flask in pocket, smoking pipe, check out the picture of the reel - the detail is incredible. Signed Lewk 1976 on stone. Excellent condition and incredible detail. Measures 5" x 17" x 25". Born in Troyes, France and raised in NY, his interest in art dates from pre-grammar school. After moving to Miami, he studied art at the University of Miami, Florida State University and in several European countries. By 1970 he was working full time as a metal sculptor.

Polish painter and graphic artist, Zdzislaw Lachur was born in 1920 in Zargorze, Poland. Around 1940, Zdzislaw witnessed the ghetto in Sosnowiec and Warsaw, and from 1944 was employed for the clandestine newspaper Odwet. From 1945 to 1950 Zdzislaw studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Krakow. Zdzislaw was the Founder of Cartoons studios "Studio filmów Rysankoych w Bielsko - Bialej" from 1947 - 1953.

Julia Gabrielov was born in Kharkov Ukraine in 1986. At the age of 2, her parents immigrated to the United States with her and her grandparents. From a young age it was apparent that Julia had an affinity for art. She would spend hours upon hours drawing with her mom in their tiny Brooklynn apartment. Growing up in Virginia, she loved taking art classes, but creating came naturally. The desire to explore new mediums has taken her career in many different directions. As a model and cosplayer for almost ten years, Julia became enthralled in the fashion and costume industries. She would make clothing for photoshoots, style hair and makeup, and discover beautiful settings to create the perfect image. "Story telling is a passion that resonates within everything I do. Whether it is realism, animation, or garment making, I desire to share a fantasy world with my audience. That is why I love painting series." In 2010 Julia's passion for storytelling evolved into a profession as a children's book illustrator. Her works include the "Under The Tree" series, the "Franklin Bean" series, and the most recent "Baby From The Moon". In between jobs, Julia would write and illustrate her own short stories. Those stories soon evolved into stand alone images. She knew that whether or not there were words, each image had to tell a story. By the end of 2013 Julia's dream of being a professional was becoming a reality. Creating original artwork purely from love and imagination became her full time career. Since then she has worked tirelessly to create beautiful works of art that resonates with her broad audience. Joining international art collective "Copycat Violence" (2014-2017) boosted her reach and opened many doors. She began showing in international galleries and recognized in publications. Julia's style has undergone many transitions, from anime to hyperrealism. Practicing all these different styles has influenced her style as well as imagination. Today she is still developing her collections and showing in galleries all over the world. Taking on projects from murals to children's books.
