George Bushman Farm Sign – Bushman’s Farm was the Site of the Army of the Potomac’s Twelfth Army Corps Hospital, an Important Medical Facility Which Cared for About 1200 Wounded (125 Confederates) from 2 July to its Closing Around August 5, 1863. This Property is Under Private Ownership.

William Patterson Farm Sign – The William Patterson Farm was a Seventy-Five-Acre Farm in 1863 Located on the East Side of Taneytown Road. The Barn, Possibly Stone, was Across this Road and Just South of the House. This Barn, According to a New Jersey Artilleryman, was in Use as a Field Hospital. In the Damage Claim Filed in 1874, Patterson Stated that, “The Second Corps Hospital was at my House During the First Day.” The House is Now Preserved as Part of the National Military Park.

Lydia Leister Farm Sign – This Farm was Occupied on July 2nd and July 3rd by General George Meade, as Headquarters for the Army of the Potomac. When General Meade and his Staff Fled this House on July 3rd During the Afternoon Cannonade, It Quickly Became a Temporary Hospital and Ambulance Collecting Point. This Site is Now Preserved as Part of the National Military Park.

Lot: 754 - Bream’s Mill and William E. Myers House Sign

Bream’s Mill and William E. Myers House Sign – The Area the Sign Represents was the Site of a Large Three-Story Flour Mill, a Sawmill, and Two Sets of Buildings. General Kemper, Who Led One of General Pickett’s Brigades as Part of Pickett’s Charge, was Shot Through the Breast and Taken to Bream’s Mill and the Area Around the Mill was Used for Confederate Burials. The Mill was Destroyed by Fire in 1896 and the Stone Foundation was Filled In.

Jacob hankey Farm Sign – This Farm is Also Located on Mummasburg Road and a ¼ Mile from the Schriver Farm. It was an Important Hospital of Rodes Division, which in 1866 Records, Showed a Very High Number of Burials, Among Which Were Thirty-Nine Identified Confederate Gravesites. Dr. Hayes oversaw Rodes Division Hospital, with Eight Hundred Patients Reported in Late July of 1863.
