Decorated in dozens of brass tacks and carved from natural hardwood. Type of Piece: Gunstock War Club Measurements: 23 x 7.75 x 1 inches. Condition: Very good given age; brass tacks are all accounted for and secure, knife blade is surprisingly sharp and also is securely set. Metal end cap has a small hole in it, please see photos. Wood is in good condition without splintering, major gouges, or other negative conditions of note. Sound estate discovery condition. Provenance: One of a number of items from the estate of an upstate New York anthropologist who traveled the country during the summers collecting Native American items; name withheld at request of family.
