1 - Gun Springfield M1 Garand National Match 30-06 Easily one of the most iconic US military rifles ever made, the M1 Garand served admirably during the Second World War and Korean conflict. Chambered in the powerful .30-06 Springfield cartridge, the M1 Garand was one of the first truly successful semi auto battle rifles to be used in any significant numbers, and capable of accuracy far beyond what was expected of semi autos of the era. This reputation for accuracy gave birth to the “National Match” M1 Garand being created in the early 50s, featuring an improved NM marked sight, extra care when hand fitting the NM marked op rod, as well as a stock specifically selected for superior grain. The barrels were also selected for their straightness by air gauging, and the receiver was bedded into the stock. This example is all complete and fortunate enough to be in excellent condition. Yellow paint has been used to mark where zero is on the rear aperture turret. This rifle would be great for military collectors or anyone looking to compete with a rifle built for remarkable accuracy. 6 - WWII German Waffen SS Wiking Division Ring This is what appears to be an original, authentic WWII German Waffen SS Wiking Division Ring. (Wiking is German for Viking) The ring depicts a Viking face front; band is formed by svastika and runes around the sides. Barely visible hallmarks inside the band are an RZM and SS Runes Stamp. Cast in what appears to be 835 Silver; size 10; weight 0.455 ozt. From the internet, “The Wiking Division goes down in the annals of WWII as one of the finest of the Waffen-SS elite groups. It took part in most of the bloody battles that raged in the east. It was an SS Panzer grenadier division under the command of its own officers. It fought on the eastern front until July 1943, when it returned to Finland and was disbanded, but reinstated and in July 1944, the German summer offensive against Russia was launched in the Kursk-Kharkov sector with the Viking Division making one the deepest penetrations. It was eventually caught in the Cherkassy pocket. Wiking was the only armored division in the trap and therefore was the spearhead of the assault to break out. Although many German troops did escape because of Viking’s brave and noble action, including the Belgian Knight’s Cross winner, the famous Léon Degrelle, the Wiking Division lost all its armor, all its equipment, and half of the personnel, as the savage Russian troops advanced. Some survivors of the bloodied Wiking Division were formed into a 4,000-man Kampfgruppe and sent back to the straining, horrible front. It put up a hell of a fight. Even though the fighters had no heavy weapons and not even enough rifles to arm all the soldiers. The remainder of the survivors was transferred to Poland where they served as a nucleus for a completely refitted division on February 18, 1944. It was the crème de la crème of elite warriors. Wiking was at all times composed of various foreign volunteers fighting alongside their German brothers for Europe. The division contained full regiments of Dutch, Flemings, Norwegians, and Danes, as well as Swiss, Finns, Swedes, Estonians, Wallonians, and divisional replacement were drawn from Volksdeutsche in the Balkans and elsewhere. They were some of the best of the best and they fought and died for the European heartland and surely they did not die in vain as they stopped the communist onslaught from completely overrunning Europe." Included with this revolver is a letter from Smith & Wesson stating the revolver was shipped November 7th, 1957 to Strevell Paterson Co, of Boise Idaho. The letter states the Revolver had a 6.5” Barrel and Goncalo Alves Target grips, however this piece has a 5” barrel and flush grips. Comes with a S&W hardcase, a holster, and a cleaning kit. 53 - Gun Labanu / Norinco SKS Sporter Rifle 7.62x39 The SKS was developed in the mid 1940s as a means to replace the Mosin Nagant rifle and SVT-40 battle rifles with the newly designed intermediate cartridge. Though short lived by the Soviets, the SKS rifle has been in widespread use by many countries around the world for decades, including China, who made this example. This example is noteworthy as being one of the few sporters to be made to accept AK Pattern magazines from the factory. These rifles, imported by Labanu in new York, came with shortened 16” barrel and a thumbhole stock. This rifle comes with a canvas sling and one 30 round magazine. Appears to be in good working order. 58 - Gun Type 38 Carbine Bolt Action Rifle 6.5 Arisaka The Arisaka Type 38 Carbine was a shortened variant of the unwieldy 31.4” Type 38 Rifle intended for Imperial japanese cavalry, engineers, quartermasters, and other non-frontline troops. Their compact size made them popular souvenirs for WWII era service members to bring back to the US. This example is a GI bring back which was fortunate to stay accompanied by the original box which it was shipped back home to Niagara Falls NY in, with a shipping address coming from C Company in 102nd Engineer Battalion along with the GIs name. The soldiers initials are also carved into the stock of the rifle, providing extra provenance. The Mum has been ground however the rifle comes with a dust cover. The cosmetic finish on the steel & Condition of the stock has aged consistent with the humid air in Niagara Falls NY, however mechanically the rifle appears to be in good working order. The receiver has a Kokura Arsenal Stamp. This example is a first year of production, dated 1862 on the lock. This is a great example of the type of muskets that would be fielded by the Union during the civil war. Some pitting has occurred on the steel around the Base of the barrel, which is a result of the salts used in primers of the period, but otherwise the Rifle is in beautiful condition. 70 - Gun Springfield Krag Jorgensen 1898 Rifle .30-40 The Springfield Armory Krag-Jorgensen rifle was the first smokeless powder rifle used by United States Armed Forces. The most distinctive feature of the rifle is its magazine. The integral magazine features a hinged cover with a spring follower, that when opened exposes a loading gate underneath the action for rounds to be placed directly into. This example is a model 1898 chambered in 30-40 Krag. Many of these rifles were used by US Engineers and artillery crews during WWI, and this may be an example of such as evidenced by the WWI Era L-F Co 1918 Sling. 76 - Firearm Colt M1877 Thunderer DA Revolver .41 Cal Developed by one of the inventors of the Colt SAA, William Mason, the colt M1877 was the first double action revolver to see widespread success and use in the United States. This example is one of the .41 Caliber “Thunderer” patterns. The checkering on the grip is somewhat worn but the panels are intact, the finish has become somewhat oxidized and worn into a visually appealing patina. 82 - Gun Husqvarna M/40 Semi Auto Pistol 9mm The Husqvarna Vapenfabriks M-40 is a Valmet L-35 produced in Sweden under licence. The Lahti L-35 is a Finnish Military pistol designed by legendary gunsmith Aimo Lahti, as a pistol that could be produced domestically and work reliably in the extreme cold of the Finnish Lapland, lending iself equally to Swedish winters. An aspect of this is the addition of a bolt accelerator, more common in construction of machine guns to speed rate of fire. The bolt accelerator in a Lahti is presented in the form of a crank lever which strikes the bolt of the pistol as it unlocks from firing, making a mechanical force aid in cycle of the action rather than simply relying on the momentum generated by the fired cartridge to cycle the action by itself. The pistol looks similar visually to the luger P08, already in Finnish service by the time of the commission of the L-35, but operates in a very different manner; with a concealed single action only hammer and a reciprocating bolt rather than a toggle. The biggest difference between the l-35 & M40 is the omission of a loaded chamber indicator on the latter. This pistol is in excellent condition and is fortunare to come in the original Crown over HV Stamped holster alongside 3 magazines, a takedown tool, and cleaning rod. 101 - Firearm C Sharps 4 Barrel Derringer .22 Rimfire One of the more common pocket pistols found in the "Old West" were the Sharps four-barrel derringers. They came in .22 rimfire, and their four barrels slide forward to load and unload. These first model pistols had brass frames and fired the recently introduced .22 Rimfire metallic cartridges. These pistols were made by "C. Sharps and Co", and are sometimes classified by modern collectors as a pepperbox, despite not featuring revolving barrels but rather a revolving firing pin. This example is remarkably in working order, with a completely functional rotating striker and secure lockup on the barrel. 192 - Gun Mauser C96 Bolo Semi Auto Pistol 7.63 Mauser The Mauser C96 is often celebrated as the first Commercially successful semi-automatic pistol ever produced, setting the stage for the following explosion in popularity of self-loading sidearms. Often called the Mauser “Broomhandle” on account of its unique grip shape, the iconic shape and history of the pistol has made it an incredibly popular pistol for collectors. This pistol is an M1921 “Bolo” made in the interwar period in compliance with the Treaty of Versailles. These pistols were popular Amongst the Bolshevik government in the newly formed USSR, spawning their nickname. The Hammer on this example is a later pattern and both it and the bolt are unserialized. The P08 designation comes from the German military who issued the pistol for service primarily during WW1 and into WW2 with limited military issue. This Example is an artillery variant that was made for WWI in 1917 and was made by DWM. 199 - Gun WW2 Era Walther PPK Semi Auto Pistol 6.35 This is a PPK semi auto pistol chambered in 7.65 Browning, more commonly referred to as .32 ACP in the US. One of the most popular single stack subcompacts to ever hit the market, the Walther PPK is a simple blowback operated pistol that utilizes a DA/SA (double action to single action) and a manual decocker incorporated into the safety. Designed by the Germans in the early 1930’s, this one appears to be in the Wartime 1940 Serial Range.
