Painting on panel in integral Gothic arched frame with attached twist columns. Possibly 18th century or older. Dimensions: (Overall) H 24.25" x W 25.5" x D 3" Condition: Two vertical cracks to panel. Cupping to paint surface. Paint surface discoloration and losses. Losses and rubbing to framework.

"Grand Central at Night." Etching with drypoint. Signed in the plate and pencil signed lower right. Dimensions: (Frame) H 19.25" x W 15.5", (Sight) H 13.75" x W 9.75" Condition: Fine impression. Slightest of age toning to paper. Note: All proceeds of the sale of this lot will go to the Bridgeport Public Library art conservation fund.

Lot: 6 - CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN ROSE MEDALLION BOUGH POT

Ornate porcelain bough pot dating from the Late 19th Century; the body decorated with alternating vignettes of courtly figures, birds and insects - surrounded by sprays of berries and dragons in relief, issuing forth from twisted branch handles. The pierced lid is gilt-encrusted and painted with butterflies, bats and flowers. Dimensions: H 8.5" x W 8" x D 8" Condition: A few light rubs to painted decoration. Tiny nick to one corner of top rim. No apparent breaks, cracks, or repairs.

Lot: 7 - (7) CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN FISH & LOBSTER PLATES

Hand-painted with goldfish and lobster motifs, marked China underneath. C. Late 19th Century. Including (6) individual fish plates and (1) larger serving plate. Dimensions: (Larger plate) Dia. 10"; (Smaller plate) Dia. 8.5" Condition: Repaired break to one small plate. Rubbing to decoration, a few spots of discoloration to porcelain.

Lot: 8 - 19TH C. CHINESE EXPORT GILT LACQUER SEWING BOX

Highly ornate 19th Century Chinese gilt-decorated lacquer sewing box, with etched and polychrome painted scenic vignettes and carved dragon-form feet. Old European export company label underneath. Dimensions: H 6" x W 15" x D 11" Condition: Missing keys and one escutcheon. Chip and small loss to wood carving on front left foot. Rubbing to decoration. A few scattered nicks, chips and dings to lacquer.

Lot: 9 - LARGE 19TH C. SHEEP PAINTING O/C, SIGNED

Large oil on canvas of sheep in extensive landscape. Signed lower right: Verboechoven (Eugene Verboechoven?). Dated 1861. Dimensions: (Frame) H 40" x W 57", (Canvas) H 35" x W 45.5" Condition: Frame with damages and losses. Painting with two tears and two poke holes, one with loss of canvas. Lot: 12 - PAIR VAL ST. LAMBERT CRYSTAL CANDLE HOLDERS

Beautiful pair of Val St. Lambert Belgian crystal candle holders. Etched mark under both. Dimensions: H 17" x Dia. 6.75" Condition: Very minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Wax residue.

Marked Steinway & Sons on interior along with 6S. Dimensions: H 38" x W 57.5" x D 60" Condition: A few nicks and scuffs to exterior. All keys tested and working. Cracks to soundboard, will need to be replaced.

Large initial E with finely detailed floral border including peacocks, a snail, and birds. Text area cut out, in fine silvered reverse painted frame. Label on back with descriptive text, states purchased as Maggs Brothers, July 1st, 1961. Dimensions: (Frame) H 12.5" x W 11.5", (Page) H 7.5" x W 5.5" Condition: Illumination with a few small handling marks at corners.

Antiphonal on vellum. With large historiated initial upper left. Figure with scrolling floral work. Framed double-sided, with type written description framed under the glass. From Books of Hours. With marginal flower details and decorative initials. Not from the same volume. Dimensions: (Frame) H 9" x W 7", (Sight) H 5" x W 3.5" Condition: Both good and clean with some waviness as expected. Double-sided framing, glass loose on the backs.

Lot: 18 - FINE EARLY 15TH C. ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT PAGE

Double-columned with multiple initials. Some floral flourish in the margins. Somewhat loose in a mat. Dimensions: (Mat) H 10.25" x W 8", (Page) H 7" x W 5" Condition: Light wrinkling as expected. Good, clean page with pigment.

Lot: 19 - GROUPING OF JAPANESE PORCELAIN INCL. KUTANI

Including a charger and serving bowl marked "Japanese Porcelain / Decorated in Hong Kong"; (4) saucers, an urn with wood stand, and a pitcher with peacock motifs. Dimensions: (Charger) Dia. 12" Condition: Urn previously mounted as a lamp (hole drilled to bottom), apparent repairs to interior of neck. Pitcher with one chip to bottom edge. The rest showing normal light wear including some rubbing to decoration.

Lot: 20 - GROUPING OF ANTIQUE JAPANESE KUTANI PORCELAIN

"1000 Scholars" motif. Dimensions: (Tallest vase) H 14" x Dia. 8" Condition: Repaired breaks, chips and losses to one large vase, one small vase, charger plate, and coffee pot. No apparent repairs to the remaining three vases. Some crazing and rubbing to decoration, a couple flea bites to rims.

Lot: 21 - ANTIQUE CHINESE PORCELAIN WARMING PLATE

Dimensions: H 1.75" x W 10.5" x D 9.5" Condition: Small circular divot to glaze at center of plate - appears to be an inherent imperfection from firing. No evidence of chips, cracks or repairs.

Lot: 22 - 19TH C. CHINESE ALTAR CONSOLE TABLE

Dimensions: H 34" x W 79" x D 14.5" Condition: Dents and a few stress cracks to top. A few repairs to top trim, panel separation to apron. Surface wear and patina consistent with age and use; rubbing, scuffs and scratches to finish, etc.

Etching on thin paper. Signed in the plate lower right. Strong impression. In an old mount. Dimensions: (Mount) H 14" x W 19", (Paper) H 8.5" x W 13" Condition: Paper with tape remains at upper corners. Some rippling to the far left edge. Paper fairly clean, good crisp impression. Lot: 24 - PAIR OF GOTHIC REVIVAL BRONZE OUTDOOR LIGHTS

Apparently unmarked. With clear glass inserts. Dimensions: H 27" x W 8" x D 13" Condition: Surface with heavy pitting. Appears to have been partially polished. Possible replacements to glass. Untested. A few bends, possible repairs.

Reduced version. With painted surface. Unmarked, with number 99-0 painted on base. Dimensions: H 35" x W 10" x D 10" Condition: Handling wear to surface. Inscribed verso "Painted by L. Krestin / 1932 / Vienna". Dimensions: (Frame) H 12" x W 14"; (Painting) H 8" x W 10" Condition: Losses to paint surface; apparent overcleaning; possible inpainting to hat and background at left. Nicks to frame.

Lot: 27 - REGENCY-STYLE LIVING ROOM SEATING SUITE

Regency-style with band inlay. Comprised of two lounge chairs and a loveseat. Dimensions: (Taller chair) H 35" x W 27.75" x D 25" x SH 16.5", (Loveseat) H 35.25" x W 52.75" x D 26" x SH 18" Condition: Marks, rubbing. Scrapes to the wood. Appears recently reupholstered. Loveseat with nicks to wood. Area of discoloration to loveseat's back.

Lot: 28 - ANTIQUE FRENCH MARBLE & BRASS PEDESTAL STAND

This antique ornate brass and marble pedestal provides a wonderful stand to place a special piece upon. With beautiful brass ornaments, this pedestal can also stand alone as a decorative piece in an interior. Dimensions: H 35.5" x W 14" x D 14" Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Some crack repairs to marble upright columns. Missing a screw to one tab that secures lower tier's marble. Some small chips and losses to marble.

Pair of portraits of the consignor's great grandparents who resided in Toronto and Buffalo. Woman is signed Barnes lower right corner. Man signed lower right corner. Color etching. Pencil signed lower right. Paris blind stamp and number 57 lower left. Copyright 1927 upper left. Dimensions: (Frame) H 28" x W 34", (Sight) H 17" x W 21" Condition: Age toning. New frame but with old mat retained. Paper laid down to old backing. Mat glue to top of paper under mat.

Brass frames with large hanging loops. With chiaroscuro woodcuts of Roman emperors. Dimensions: (Frame) Dia. 7.5" Condition: Some light rubbing and scratches to brass.

Lot: 37 - LOUIS XV STYLE BURLWOOD PARQUETRY PETITE CHEST

Petite serpentine-front lingerie chest with burlwood veneers, dovetailed drawers and gilt brass mounts, in the Louis XV style. C. Late 19th Century. Dimensions: H 33.5" x W 24" x D 17.25" Condition: Drawers and back panels previously rebuilt; repaired crack/break to top. Veneer with cracking, losses to underside of top edge; a few retouched chips and losses to drawer fronts. A couple small stress cracks to legs. Scattered nicks and scuffs throughout.

Lot: 38 - MAURICE STERNE (1878-1957) BALINESE WOMAN

Gouache on paper over pencil. Appears to be laid down. Of a seated half-nude Balinese woman. Signed lower right. Dimensions: (Frame) H 23.5" x W 20.75", (Sight) H 15.5" x W 13.25" Condition: Colors appear good. Couple small spots of bubbling in the paper.

Bronze sculpture of a sleeping child, 18th/19th century on marble base. Bronze with finely chased hair and rocks and good overall patina. Dimensions: (Sculpture) H 6" x W 12" x D 5"; (On base) H 8" x W 13.5" x D 5.5" Condition: A few light spots of rubbing to the bronze, some dirt in the crevices. Marble with some chipping.

Lot: 41 - 19TH C. AFTER FRANS HALS O/C PORTRAIT OF WOMAN

After painting "Hille Bobbe." Unsigned; unmarked. Dimensions: (Frame) H 36" x W 29", (Canvas) H 30" x W 25" Condition: Yellowed varnish. Paint flaking along right edge and lower edge.

Victorian balloon-back style. Appears to have possibly original upholstery. Unmarked. Dimensions: H 12" x W 7.5" x D 7" Condition: A few light marks to the wood. Purple upholstery with age fading.

Icon on panel. Madonna and Child with St. John. Greek inscriptions at upper corners. c. 1700. Dimensions: H 11.75" x W 9.25" Condition: Panel warped. Cracked along left and reattached. Surface rubbing, edge losses, etc.

Lot: 47 - (18) 19TH C. CHINESE PITH PAINTINGS, TEA

A partially disbound album still containing (18) mounted pith paintings having to do with tea cultivation. Evidence of multiple pages removed. Dimensions: (Pages) H 13" x W 16", (Pith paper) H 6.5" x W 10.5" Condition: Good, strong colors. Most with tears. A few still complete without tears. Age toning and marks to mount sheets. Album cover detached.

Lot: 48 - CHINESE IMPERIAL YELLOW IMPRESSED DISH

6-character mark underneath. Interior impressed with dragons, exterior with clouds and phoenix. Dimensions: Dia. 5.75" x D 1.25" Condition: Small glaze chip on exterior. A few minor glaze flaws.

Lot: 49 - VINTAGE BRONZE DOG'S HEAD CANISTER

Realistically rendered life-size head of dog. With original lid and replacement finial. Apparently unmarked. Dimensions: H 7" x W 10.5" x D 7" Condition: Patinated surface with spots of verdigris.

Lot: 50 - C. 1890'S ART NOUVEAU CUT CRYSTAL VASE

Cut and gilded with art nouveau leaf design and long fluting. Apparently unmarked. Possibly early Moser. Dimensions: H 19.5" x D 5.5" Condition: Some rubbing and losses to gold. Good age wear under base.

Lot: 51 - EVERT PIETERS, NETHERLANDS (1856-1932) WATERCOLOR

Grisaille watercolor of women and children in an interior. Signed and dated 1910. Inscribed to Mrs. Emma B. Hodge. Emma Hodge was an eminent collector of American folk art in early 20th century. Dimensions: (Frame) H 10.25" x W 12; (Sight) H 5.5" x W 7" Condition: Slight age toning. Mat with age toning. Frame with marks.

Unmarked. Good overall fluorescence with textured surface. Dimensions: H 7.75" x Dia. 3.5" Condition: A few flea bites to the rim.

Watercolor and gouache on paper study after "Moods to Music" (painted c. 1894-1895). Signed or inscribed very faintly and indistinctly lower left. Dimensions: (Frame) H 14" x W 48"; (Sight) H 18.25" x W 41.5" Condition: Not examined out of frame. Frame with separation, chips and losses.

Lalique crystal "Nogent' sparrow pedestal bowl and "Compiegne" console bowl with oak leaves. Both pieces signed. Dimensions: (Compiegne bowl) H 3.75" x W 8" x D 6" Condition: Compiegne bowl with a couple tiny dings to edge; possibly inherent imperfections. Nogent compote with no issues to note.

With pheasant, squirrel, and lovebird motifs. Each signed underneath. Dimensions: (Pheasant) H 4.5" x Dia. 3.75" Condition: No issues to note.

Lot: 57 - NARVEL HERMANOYSKI CONTEMPORARY STILL LIFE A/C

Large-scale still life by the artist of the Silver Hill Atelier, well noted muralists. Signed and dated 2003. Acrylic on canvas. Dimensions: H 40" x W 52" Condition: Some surface marks. A few scratches, retouched with marker.

Enamel face with machined brass. Gilded frame and backing in shadowbox frame. Clock apparently unmarked as to maker, appears to be complete except for spring. Dimensions: H 21" x W 16.5" x D 6" Condition: Some rubbing to frame, untested. Part of inner molding missing from top edge.
