Scarce English Cast Iron Bank, in the form of a ship, top embossed "Fortune When My Ship Comes in", underside impressed "Brighton, 70", original red painted surface, 4" high, 5 3/8" x 1 1/2". Paint losses, surface wear.

The 'Bismark Bank' depicting Otto von Bismarck popping out of a cast iron pig, by J & E Stevens, Cromwell, CT, circa 1883, cast iron pig has black and white painted surface with red nose, the word 'Bank' cast on one side, von Bismarck figure is lead. 5" high, 8" x 2 1/2". Paint losses.

Lot: 1003 - SCARCE NATIVE AMERICAN THEMED MECHANICAL PENNY BANK

Painted Cast Iron Mechanical Bank from J&E Stevens, Cromwell, Ct, patented 1875. It is called the 'Chief Big Moon". Place coin in slot in front of pond, press the lever and as the coin disappears the frog springs from the water to grab the fish that the Indian Squaw is holding up. 9 1/4" tall, 10" long. Very good condition.

Later wiring to light windows and door. Mahogany front frame with glass, two book bindings attached on right top provide for lightboxes, signed at bottom of short return wall on left.

Schoneau & Hoffmeister German Bisque Head Clown with Slap Stick on Pull Cart, having articulated arms, with trademark on back of neck for S&H, Porzellan Fabrik Burggrub, mold number 46. The company was active from 1901 to 1907. Glass eyes, painted wooden hands, legs and feet, bells at wrists, cloth and lace clothing, felt cap. The cart is covered with color litho, has spelter wheels. All original. 13 1/2" x 7" x 4 1/2". Wear to cart, fading to clothing and cap, still works well.
