Directions: From Mcveytown, Pa. find RT 22W and 522S toward Mt Union, find Fairview Rd go left and go 1.4 Miles to Irvin Ridge Rd, go left and farm is 1/2 mile further on the right side.

This farm is along a dead end road with only a few homes that are beyond this farm. This farm has two homes, one is a two bedroom, one bath mobile home with a frame addition that was added in 1986. The Owner, David Keiser, will have life rights to this home.

The second home is a two story farmhouse with four bedrooms and one bathroom. This is a modest home with lower ceilings upstairs. This home has an addition with area that was used for butchering, and storage.  

The milking barn is a 12 stall flat tie stall milking area with pipeline and 800 gallon tank. They are shipping their milk to DFA. This milking area is under the bank barn. Adjacent to this bank barn is a 50 stall free stall barn, built in 1997. Manure is pushed into a 12’ X 60’ concrete manure tank that has a 335,000 gallon capacity. There are two 12’ X 50’ silos, one has a Starline surface drive unloader and one has a Jamesway ring drive unloader. There is an 11 ton feed bin for concentrate.

There is a 40 X 60’ metal, open ended, Quonset style equipment shed built in 1977, and a 40’ X 80’ side feeding heifer barn built in 2014. There is a 30’ X 40’ cement block shop, near the two story home that was built in 2008. The property was select cut timbered in 2009.

This farm is a working dairy farm that could continue to be used for dairy, or could be used for a variety of uses. The buildings could be used for heifer raising or beef cattle. Many of the buildings could be used for other purposes. There would be some very nice home sites if an owner wanted to build a new house. This farm’s location is very private, and the tillable land is rolling but has good quality soils. Soils are Mertz, Elliber & Haxelton series and the land ranges from flat to rolling with some slope. There will be Bagged Corn silage on this farm on sale day which can be purchased by the new owner.

This farm is not preserved and is in the "Clean and Green" tax program. This farm has many possibilities and is in a desirable location. Would make a great hunting property, beef operation or quiet retirement location.
