THIS IS A WOOD-ONLY AUCTION WHICH WILL CONCLUDE THE 72nd ANNUAL WEEK-LONG ANNUAL MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL WOOD COLLECTORS SOCIETY

THE WOOD AUCTION IS TYPICALLY OPEN ONLY TO REGISTERED IWCS MEMBERS BUT WE ARE ANTICIPATING A LARGE SELECTION OF WOOD LOTS AND ARE INVITING THE PUBLIC

100% OF THE PROCEEDS HELP TO OFFSET THE OPERATING COST OF THE IWCS

It is nearly impossible to predict all of the items to be auctioned as many are brought by registered members from the US and worldwide and donated.  The following is a listing of actual and anticipated items which will be updated as items become known:

Kiln dried hardwoods (sold by the piece and large and small lots):  75 bd ft 4/4 silver maple S2S to 15/16, photo 1; 481 bd ft 4/4 walnut S2S to 15/16, photo 2; 179 bd ft 4/4 cherry S2S to 15/16, photos 3,4; 103 bd ft 4/4 ash S2S to 15/16, photo 9; 154 bd ft 5/4 ash S2S to 1-3/16, photos 6, 7; 54 bd ft 8/4 rustic black oak S2S to 1-15/16, photo 10; 212 bd ft 4/4 red oak S2S to 15/16, photo 11; 16 bd ft 6/4 poplar S2S to 1-7/16; 80 bd ft 5/4 poplar S2S to 1-3/16;

Slab woods and off-the-saw:  A sawmill will be on-site Tuesday, 17th and Wednesday, 18th custom sawing our logs or yours to your specifications - all extra  will be auctioned on Thursday, 19th; Many slabs, dried and green, variety of species and sizes;  

Turning wood and bowl blanks: Huge walnut crotch blank, photo 8; Large ambrosia maple blanks, photo 12; Pair of walnut crotch blanks, photo 13;

Sampling of what to expect: Typically there are hundreds of domestic and exotic species in the form of rounds, boards, turning squares, etc.  The tent fills with items donated by our members as the week goes on.

Wood specimens: Typically there will be some exotic 1/2 x 3 x 6" wood specimens from collections from all over the globe.  Also, pen, egg and bottle stopper blanks.  Look for boxes full of exotic cut-offs - anything from poplar to ebony???

Auctioneers' Notes: IWCS members registered for the event will have a bid number.  Guests are welcome and will pay $10 for a bid number.  Terms: cash, check, credit card - not responsible for accidents.
