This merchandise was compiled from four generations of collecting.  Paul Butcher Sr. and wife, Phyliss, Paul Butcher Jr. and wife, Alice, James R. Anderson and wife, Beth and their son, Chris Anderson.  This family established and operated Butcher-Layfield Lumber Co. for over 60 years.  Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. built several homes in Lewis County.  Jim and Beth were very involved deeply in their community.  Jim was part of the County Commission and City of Weston Council.  They were a big part of helping the Senior Citizens Center and other organizations around Lewis Co.
