The following items from local estates have been moved to the Baltimore Pike Firehall (approx. 5 miles east of Cumberland, MD on the National Pike, Rt. 144) for public auction.  East bound on Rt. 68, take Exit 46, turn left on Rt. 144 and go approx. 3 miles east.  West bound on Rt. 68, take Exit 50, turn left, cross bridge, turn right on Rt. 144 and go approx. 3 miles west.

VA, the original 9 ½” x 46” x 1 ¾” thick wooden sign simply painted “Swanton” (This is original paint and was recovered many years ago from the one room RR Depot in Swanton, MD – A wonderful one of a kind item), B & O 1907 Timetable, 16” B & O brass RR engine emblem plate, set of headlamps from diesel RR engine, 33” cast iron “Yard Limit” 1” thick oval sign salvaged years ago from the Annapolis Junction at Fort Meade, 7” x 11” brass Plymouth Flexomotive engine plate, brass locomotive engine bell w/clapper, 1950’s locomotive engine builders plates, C & P Timetables, 1925 B & O lantern, WMRY lantern w/WMRY globe, 2 Sou. Ry lanterns, Niles Putnam Loco. Repair Manuals, 1921 & 1925 WMRR Elkins Division Timetables, B & O brass lock w/key, calipers for measuring locomotive cylinder dia., rare local cloth advertisement for “McKaigs” foundry located in Cumberland, locomotive operator manuals, set of B & O spur lines books, literally dozens of shareholder or individual lines maps (many framed and matted for display), B & O torch, folding RR maps, dozens of modern books about railroading, lines, stations, locomotives, trains, etc., Cumberland RR china platter, asst. Decorated Stoneware & Crocks:  Decorated 3 gal. A. T. Williams New Geneva, PA crock w/ears, rare 1 gal. Marx Wineland Frostburg MD crock, 10” decorated stoneware pitcher (few small chips), 3 gal. Bowers Three Thistle Snuff crock, 3 gal. crock stamped “B Co.”, 2 gal. decorated crock, doe print crock, 2 gal. ES & B New Brighton PA crock, 3 gal. decorated crock, other asst. crocks – some decorated.
