IT DEPICTS TWO HOUSES WITH BIRDS ON ROOF AND TWO ANIMALS ON THE GROUND, PROBABLY A ROOSTER AND A CHICKEN. IT HAS 3 COMPLETE ALPHABETS AND A VERSE, SIGHT SIZE 17" X 12 1/4". IN A MODERN FRAME WITH NEW MAT. FRAME 18 1/4" X 21 3/4".

12 - AMERICAN NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER BY ANN RIDDINGTON, 1770. SHE WAS FROM A TORY FAMILY FROM ROWLEY OR BOXFORD, MA. THIS EXPLAINS THE CROWNED LIONS IN THE DESIGN. IT ALSO HAS A HOUSE, A FIGURE AND AN APPLE TREE. THE VERSE STATES "THIS WORK IN HAND MY FRIENDS MAY HAVE WHEN I AM DEAD AND IN MY GRAVE. SIGHT SIZE 12 1/2" X 12". FRAME SIZE 23 1/2" X 24 1/2". NEW FRAME AND MAT.
