Braxton’s has been given the honor of liquidating the total estate of James S.  (PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING)

He & his wife collected toys, Victorian, pottery, clocks, sewing machines, amazing furniture, and tons more. Over 2000 lots will be sold during this 2-day auction event. Please read the entire listing as details will follow. Braxton’s will be conducting a 2-day event that will take place on May 4th  & 5th. Day one will be reserved for quality smalls. We estimate about 650 – 700 lots will be sold on this first day. Day one auction will be available both live onsite and live online through Auction Zip & Invaluable.com. Day 2 will have two auction rings. Ring 1 will have 600 lots of smalls and furniture and will be not be available for online bidding ONLY onsite bidding available. These items will not be pictured until the week of the event. As many of the out buildings and inside smalls will be in this auction ring.  This ring will only be available for those who come to the location to bid live, starting at 9 am.     

Ring 2 will start at 9:30am with clocks.  We should be finished around noon.  Starting at 12:30pm Furniture will begin selling.  Over 200 lots of amazing Victorian & period pieces along with a great selection of primitive items will be sold. If you’re unable to attend and do not want to bid online, phone bids and left bids are always welcome. We will still have over 50 pieces of furniture that will be in Ring 1 so come early and enjoy.  Please NOTE: this will be a rain or shine event. We are hoping for a beautiful May day. 

   Parking will be a tight.  Directly across the street is a local church. Parking will be available at the church and on the surrounding streets.  Please look for signs and parking signs.  A local police officer will be directing traffic and assisting in parking along with staying on site.  The street that circles the house will be used as a one-way street with parking for larger trucks on the side of the street.   Stay tuned as a parking aerial view will be available a few weeks prior to the event.

 

Arrangements have been made at the Quality Inn & Suites, which is located about 4 miles from the house.  To make reservation please call them directly at 706-453-9135.

Ask for the auction rate with Braxton’s.  It should cost  $74.99 per night + taxes. This hotel is just a few miles away. 

 

Seating:  Braxton’s will have a few chairs available.   It is recommended that you bring your folding chair so you can enjoy the auction in comfort.  

 

Concessions: Will be available for both days, for the entire day. We encourage you to plan to come and stay.

 

Loading: Personnel will be available to assist you in loading your treasures after you pay for them.  We also have pickup times set for Sunday the 6th from 2 – 5pm and Monday 9 -12noon. 

 

Checking in: This will be required each day. You will be allowed to use the same number but you will need to checkout and settle up after each day.  Check-in will begin each day starting at 8am.  

 

Preview: Will take place on Thursday May 3rd starting at 9am and running all day till 7pm.  Preview will also take place on Friday for the items that will be sold on Sat. 

 

Pick Up for phone, left bids and in person bids, Pick up of these items can take place on either day of auction or Sunday from 2pm – 7pm or Monday from 9am to 12 noon, at the off site location.  ALL ITEMS MUST BE PICKED UP DURING THESE HOURS.   

The house must be emptied by Noon on Monday May 7th2018.  A fee of $25.00 -$50.00 per piece will be charge if we have to haul your item back to Loganville. 

 Pick up for Online bids.

All small online purchases from day 1 (May 4th) will be carried to our store, invoices sent and your item will be pack and shipped out to you as normal shipping policy, Invoice will NOT be sent until Tuesday or Wed of the following week as this is an off site auction and everything has to be relocated back to our primary office to determine shipping cost.  

 All items from Day 2 (May 5th) will require special handling.  Larger items that are purchased that are not picked up at the above pickup dates will be charged a transportation rate of  $25.00 per small piece. An example of this is a clock or small furniture. (an item carried by one person).

 A $50.00 fee will be charge per large piece.  These are items that require two people to carry.  These items will be relocated to our main auction gallery that is located at 303 Main St.  You will have 30 Day to arrange your pickup of these large items.  After that a charge of $100.00 per piece / per month will be charged for storage for large items and $50.00 per month / per month for smaller items.  

 We will be happy to carry items to our local UPS store, they will crate, pack and ship any large item for you.   You will be charged for this service, along with any hauling and storage fees.   It is YOUR responsibility to arrange for shipping of large furniture.
