5.         Unusual gunsmith made Chas. Roth (Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania) breech loading rifle, .32 RF caliber, the 1840 lock marked D. Nippes U. S.-Mill Creek PA., 1847, with serpentine hammer, side mounted manual extractor, latch is a monkey tail design, walnut stock, brass trigger guard, crescent butt plate, and pewter nose cap, 29 1/2" octagonal barrel.     Est. $800-1,200

 

6.         Abraham Gibbs (Lancaster, Pennsylvania), full stock percussion long rifle, approximately .44 caliber, the barrel also stamped C & S. Lutz (Reamstown,  Pennsylvania), the scroll engraved lock with a hunting dog, with brass furniture including a scroll engraved three-piece patch box, the inside lid of the patch box is etched Joseph M. Chum, June 24th, 1855, likely an owners name, with set trigger, 37 1/2" octagonal barrel.        Est. $800-1,200

 

7.         Joshua Yous, (Franklin County, Pennsylvania) tiger maple full stock percussion long rifle, approximately .46 caliber, converted from flintlock, the barrel inscribed J. 8.         Jacob Harder (Athens, Pennsylvania), percussion combination gun, 28 gauge and .38 caliber, with a simple round brass patch box in the walnut stock, the opposing side with a brass stag inlay, the brass trigger guard and butt plate are scroll engraved, 32 1/2" scroll engraved octagonal to round barrels with brass wedding bands.     Est. $500-800

30.       Matched pair of sequentially numbered flintlock dueling pistols by Jacob Kuchenreuter (Bavarian 1709-1783), approximately .55 caliber, numbered 1 and 2 on the breech plug tangs, inscribed by the maker on the barrel flats and locks, locks and cocks are scroll engraved with a stag on the lock tangs, the trigger guards, butt caps, thumb escutcheon and thimbles are finely engraved brass, set triggers having incised and relief carved, full length stocks with horn caps at muzzle, 10" octagonal to round barrels with v-notch rear sights.       Est. $2,000-4,000

54.       Rare and excellent presentation cased Maynard patent, First model 1858 Saddle Ring Sporting single shot rifle/shotgun, retains both a .50 caliber rifled barrel and a .55 caliber smoothbore barrel with brass front sight, the presentation case contains both .50 caliber and .55 caliber brass casings for reloading, a cartridge loader, bullet seating die, chamber adapters, marked bullet mold, Maynard tape primers and original shot and rifle cartridges, case colored receiver is marked MAYNARD ARMS CO-WASHINGTON on the right side of the receiver and MANUFACTURED BY-MASS ARMS CO-CHICOPEE FALLS, a tang sight, Maynard tape primer and a finely fitted patch box integral to the steel butt plate, walnut case is velvet lined with each compartment retaining the appropriate accessories, 26" barrels, barrels are numbered #4940, no serial number.      Est. $5,000-7,000
