This incredible 82 +/- acre farm has 62 +/- acres of tillable farmland, and a lovely setting with the buildings back a lane. There is some woods on this property, and the farm borders Little Beaver Creek. This farm has a significant amount of frontage on Rt. 222, and also has frontage on Brenneman Road. There is subdivision potential here. Please contact Strasburg Township for details.

The main home here has 3,170 square feet of living space, and was built in the 1800’s. It is stone with a frame addition, with a large deck around the kitchen addition, that offers outdoor entertaining space. The stone portion has a slate roof, and the addition, and deck has a metal roof.  The second floor of this home has three generous sized bedrooms, a full bathroom with large shower, and tub, and an open area at the top of the steps. This open area is large enough to convert into a fourth bedroom. There is a full attic over the stone portion of the home. This home has been rewired, re plumbed, has had high quality windows installed through out the house in last 15 years, and was totally renovated inside. Great care was taken to make this into a comfortable home, but still keep the charm and built in storage and fireplaces of the era in which it was built.

The first floor has a modern kitchen in the 20’ X 20’ frame addition. This kitchen area also has the hookup for a washer and dryer. This home is tastefully decorated, that compliments the wood flooring, trim work and stone. It has a very warm feeling with lots on natural light, and good choices for lighting fixtures. The first floor also has a dining room with large fireplace, a sitting room, a half bath, a living room and a smaller room that is used as an office. This main living floor offers a mix of large and small room sizes that would accommodate easy family living, and also allow room for entertaining. This home has oil, hot air heat and central air conditioning. It has a 20 KW stand by generator for power, if needed. Water is from a spring, and it has an onsite septic system for each of the houses.

The second home has 2,000 square feet, was built in the late 1700’s and was once a two unit home. This home is partially remodeled, and currently being used as a one unit home. This home has two bathrooms on the second floor and four rooms that were used as bedrooms. With the current floor plan upstairs, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the second one. This could be changed, with divider hallways. This home currently has three private bedrooms. This home has a newer, modern kitchen on the first floor, a dining room, and two rooms that can serve as a living and sitting room. There is a small room that was framed in, but not finished, for a half bath. This home has oil, hot water heat, and does not have central air conditioning. It was partially rewired and needs some floor covering and wall covering work. It appears to be structurally sound.

There is a large bank barn that has two roll up doors in the upper level and a person entry door. This barn has a metal roof, stone gable ends and is covered with vinyl siding. It is currently used for storage, and is not set up for livestock. The barn in 90 feet long, and one section is 48’ X 70’, and one section is 46’ X 42’.

There is a tobacco barn that is 40’ X 86’. The original tobacco barn on this farm blew down and this barn was purchased on a farm in Lititz, and rebuilt here. Part of this barn was remodeled into a retail show room and office. Presently there is a retail store here, and this business will remain open until closer to the real estate auction date . All the renovation work for the store was done to code. The Buyer should check with Strasburg Township about a future use for this space, as this allowed use will terminate when the present owner closes this business. There is not a bathroom in this building. This building has a 12’ X 14’ overhead door on the one end, that opens to a garage area. Also on that end is a smaller overhead door that is used as a car garage. On the other side of the building is garage space that the owner used store a travel trailer. There is plenty of storage upstairs in this building, and the changes were done to allow a variety of uses for this building.

There is a 24’ X 52’ building near the home that is used as a garage and storage building. This building has a concrete floor and two overhead doors, one is 10’ wide and one is 12’ wide. This building has a slate roof. There is also a single slope, metal roof storage building near the tenant house that is used as a garden shed.

This property has plenty of room for parking and truck turning. The buildings are back off of the road, and in a lovely setting. They often see deer on this property, and the woods and stream create a nice balance of features.
