Indian Motorcyle brings $37,000 at Grove City, PA auction. By Steve Johnson www.auctionzip.com Grove City, PA - An Indian Trafficar Motorcyle is not something you see every day -- and they rarely are available for sale.
That is why the 1936 Indian Trafficar motorcyle being offered at the Grove City Auction Held by John R. Huey gathered so
much attention. Interested bidders came from many states.
The bid was opened at $20,000 by a bidder with cell phone in hand.
The bid quickly increased by $5,000 increments to $30,000 where it stalled
for a bit. Huey coaxed the crowd, and the motorcyle made it to its final bid
of $37,000. The winning bid belonged to Rocky Halter the owner of Rocky's
Antique Cycle Parts of Canton Ohio. Halter and the auctioneer Huey recieved
a round of applause from the crowd, many of whom were suprised at the
bidding. Halter was quickly surrounded by auction goers congratulating
him on his winning bid. Halter is also the director of the Antique Motorcycle
Club of America.
In a telelphone interview with
Halter he stated that he was very excited to be
the winning
bidder. He made the trip from Canton Ohio after reading about
the
motorcyle in a farm newspaper and checking out the photos which were posted on
