c. 1770-1810 white pine immigrant transportation box labeled, Robert Todd in Germanic lettering around the sides, with block lettering on the lid. Constructed of hand-wrought rosehead nails throughout, with hand-wrought strap hinges and lock. Condition is a little rough but could be cleaned and used, with minor repair. Found by donor at estate sale in Oxford, OH. Possibly an early settler or parent of a settler of NW Oxford Township as the Todd family settled in Oxford Twp. in early 1800s. 42" x 24" x 24"
