Detailed letters written from Camp Meadow Bluff, Camp below Richmond, Camp Buchanan, Brown's Gap, Gauley Bridge, Greenwood Depot, VMI, Lewisburg, Mt. Jackson, Rockingham County, Tyree, White Sulphur Springs, etc.; Subjects mentioned Ashby's cannons (near Mt. Jackson), battle near Mt. Jackson, Desperate fight (near Woodstock), hope to sweep Yankees from valley, taking prisoners, skirmish near Dogwood Gap, march towards Potomac, taking prisoners to New Market, Gen.
