Under a heated tent, Bruneau and Co. Auctioneers in Partnership with First Choice Consignment conduct a true New England on-site auction of the Alden Family residence of Warwick, RI.  The Alden Estate was built back in the mid 18th century and had expanded over the years as family flourished. The Alden home was sold back some fifty years ago to the present owner where it has remained untouched but lived in until last year. The sale will consist of more than 700 lots of freshly discovered antiques dating back to the 18th century, to a large assortment of fine modern collector quality Invicta wristwatches. Highlighting the sale is an 18th C. Alden family register. Rare finds include a Document for the Bunker Hill Monument, the original Providence Journal printing press with several trays of print, and a large collection of fine modern day wristwatches. The home is filled with unusual examples of Victorian and Arts & Crafts Furniture, including a signed Limbert's settle and armchair. Much of the furniture was being used right until last year when the home was closed, with several other pieces stored away in the attic and basement for decades. Samplers, Textiles, Carpets, bottles, crockery, ephemera and plenty of 19th and 20th century jewelry will round out the auction. Several pieces of artwork are being discovered throughout the home to add to the array of fresh finds. A couple of interesting antique smalls highlighting the group are a sweet 18th century child's potty chair, and a fine needlepoint upholstered western horn foot stool. We recently found a huge collection of brand new watches mostly from Invicta as mentioned before.
This is an absolute sale, no reserves, and no internet. You must attend. We will be accepting absentee and phone bids.
