Hudson Valley Auctioneers will conduct a unreserved two session multi estate auction of fresh to the market estate and consigned lots Monday April 17th in our 432 Main Street Beacon, New York gallery.

The sale will offer choice lots from estates in Bedford, Scarsdale, Forest Hills, the UWS and several other area consignments. Session 1 begins at 5:00 PM  in house and is also enabled. 

A collection of Asian items including textiles, fine porcelains, carvings, artworks and other items precede Russian glassware, a rare San Zeno faience dinner service and other sets of glass and china. Garden is up next with Victorian urns, vintage Woodard and Salterinni, other iron, cement and a carved marble Christ statue from a Saugerties NY monastery.

American and Continental furniture will be plentiful throughout both sessions and features a fine French inlaid tall chest, several marble topped Victorian walnut pieces, Stickley cherry bedroom set, a matching Victorian ebonized bedroom set and a heavily carved oak hall bench.

It has been a number of years since we have had the opportunity to offer artwork by the local artist Michael Kelly and this sale has 8 small oils originally purchased from the artist. Another artist well represented by 9 large oils is Gino Hollander, abstract and portraiture from the Forest Hills estate, a former patron of the artist, a small Otto Bierhalls and a small Louis Valtot, both floral still life's are also in the group.

Mid Century items from a Cold Spring storage include two Ligne Roset leather sofas, a pair of E15 walnut benches by Philipp Mainzer, two sets Thonet bent ply chairs, as well as many accessories from the period.

Another strong block of goods is the final offering from the Scarsdale estate of a prolific collector of all things country; candle molds, butter molds, maple sugar molds, hyacinth vases, stoneware flasks, cookie cutters, quilts, wrought iron, tramp art and more. Railroad collectors and Tarrytown NY supporters with be interested in the original cast iron station sign and Pullman stool found in a local barn. The session finishes off with a large stamp collection and several estate room size and scatter carpets. 

With Session Two immediately following, the pace as well as the diversity increases as the 100 lot an hour portion of the auction begins. As interesting and diverse as the online session but with 225 lots;  groups of mid century mixed with lots more art, china and glass, silver and jewelry, Asian items, furniture of all periods, lighting, and much more

All of Session Two's items can be viewed on from a link on our website although there are always last minute additions.  No Sunday preview due to Easter observance. Preview for this auction will take place on Friday, April 14th from 2pm till 6pm, on Saturday April 15th from 1pm to 5pm, and on Monday, April 17th from 2pm to sale time, please note there will be no preview on Easter Sunday.

FROM PA & CT: take I-84 to NY Exit 11 (Rt. 9D), go south to Main and turn left, follow to 432 Main. Parking is plentiful behind the Yankee Clipper Diner and on side streets and in lot across from gallery (LOOK FOR SIGNS).
FROM ALBANY: take NYS Thruway (I-87) to Newburgh exit to I-84 East to Exit 11 (just over bridge), turn right onto 9D, and follow above.
FROM NYC: take Palisade Parkway to Bear Mountain Bridge, cross to Rt. 9D north to Beacon, right on Teller Ave. to light at Main, look for parking signs, right on Main to 432.
ALTERNATE ROUTES: NYS Thruway or Sawmill and Taconic Parkways to Rt. 84. Beacon is located where I-84 crosses the Hudson River.
