Own a piece of HISTORY!  This EARLY AMERICAN COLONIAL home (circa 1800) in Aston Township has a lot of character, is move-in ready, and will be available at auction on January 7th. (Snow date Jan 8th)

OPEN HOUSE Sunday, December 18th from 2:00 pm - 5:00pm

Auction on January 7th at 12:00 noon.

Description: As you enter this beautiful property on a paved drive, you will cross over a gently flowing creek running through the front of the approximately 2.51 acre property.  There is a beautiful stone wall lining portions of the creek as well as a stone wall at the property line and in the sloped back yard.  Mature foliage provides privacy and a lush feel.  A quaint two story barn provides storage, a front porch, and a cupula with rooster weathervane.  The barn also has a second floor bank-rear entrance.

A lovely little functioning spring house shows off a Quaker style roof and stucco exterior, interior below-grade early stone construction and later block upper.

A set of exterior steps with an early stone constructed side-wall leads to a small patio and the entrance of the home.  Enter the house by way of a sunny parlor with a picture window and a double lid window seat.  This will lead you into a warm feeling living room which is part of the original stone constructed home with 18” deep windowsills and a stone fireplace with brick hearth.  The living room also has built-in shelving, early hardwood floors, and leads to a spacious front porch overlooking the front yard creek.

A quaint, crisp kitchen is comfortably adjacent to the dining area.  The kitchen has recessed lighting, beveled Formica counter tops and breakfast bar, vinyl flooring, built-in Frigidaire dishwasher and Goldstar over-oven microwave, Tappen electric oven, General Electric refrigerator with top freezer, and a stainless steel sink with Moen faucet.  The centralized dining room has hardwood flooring and ceiling lighting with access to the second floor, basement, parlor, living room, and a mud/laundry room.  The mud/laundry room has an exterior entrance and is vented and plumbed for your laundry needs.

Continue up the stairs to a landing which leads to a full bath with window and linen closet.  Just beyond is a wonderful spacious sitting room or office and two bedrooms with early hardwood flooring.  One bedroom houses a small woodstove with a stone faced closed fireplace.

Basement walls show the original stone construction with cement overlay and cement floors.  The three-section basement houses the oil tank, water conditioning system and the furnace.  Step outside the basement and enter into the two-car carport.
