2/2/17 - (SPECIAL NOTE: RONN GERRARD PASSED AWAY THURSDAY MORNING AROUND 2:00)
I wish I had one more day to complete this week's prep. Not really. If I did, I would still need another day. The building is packed. The outside is loaded with many items. I have a lot to do tomorrow. I will be prepping more items that will not appear in the photo gallery. Please view the photo gallery. I am confident you will see something to spark your interest. Just remember to be sure to arrive early with plans for another very late evening. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, the referrals and your continued support. I previously listed outdoor storage sheds. Due to the overwhelming size of this estate, we will be using the sheds for the next few weeks. I have scheduled the sheds for the first week of March. Thank you for understanding the limited amount of space we work with. Two peddle cars, copper music box collection, Stained glass shaded lamps, Disney collection are items I know have been added to this week's excitement. More to follow this evening. Please remember, the auction will start outside at 6:30 or earlier. As I always suggest, be sure to arrive early with plans for another very late evening. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, the referrals and your continued support.

2-1-17 - Three men; 35 hours each and the living estate of Ronn Gerrard from Merrillville has been moved to the Star Light Auctions facility. Two trailers are still full with the auctioneer's beautiful wife and I wondering how we are going to get everything ready by Friday. Don't worry! This is the largest one bedroom estate we have done. Therefore, we will not be auctioning all items in one auction. We are going to include the estate items in this auction and at least two of the next Friday auctions. Due to the number of hours I and the guys have put in moving all items, I am not able to list items more than already listed in the previous days. However, after spending the day at the facility tomorrow (Thursday), I will add more to the list. Dianna has finished almost all the table prep and even started on the furniture while I was out picking up the last load. This is going to be a seriously fun auction. Be sure to arrive early with plans for another very late evening. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, the referrals and your continued support.

1/31/17 - Another twelve hour day has come and gone. The Merrillville estate is still not finished. Earl, Dan and I are planning to unload the big trailer first thing tomorrow morning and hopefully finish early tomorrow evening. That is great news because it has provided many good items for this and the next couple of week's auctions. I told Dianna my plans for tomorrow and her first question was, "When are we going to prep the auction?". She has already prepped over half the tables. On the trailer to be unloaded tomorrow morning are pieces for most of the bedroom set, and electrical operated recliner, and electrical operated sofa that reclines at each end, another sofa, china cabinet, book shelves, yard items, spring items and many holiday assorted items. Speaking for Dianna and myself, we are very excited about this auction. By the way; it is my intention to start outside this Friday. Lots of items already waiting with more to come. As always, be sure to arrive early with plans for another very late evening. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, the referrals and your continued support.

1/30/17 - What a day we have experienced today. Earl, Dan and I unloaded the large trailer. It took us most of the day, 7-8 hours, to load the items from the sheds and decorative yard items. Check the photo gallery to see how full the trailer actually was. Around one this afternoon, we were graced with the auctioneer's wife. She decided to bring lunch. It was great and I was hungry. After the trailer was loaded, Earl stayed at the estate and continued with the packing. Dan and I went to the office to pick up the other trailer and unload the shed on the back. Earl had started packing in the kitchen when Dan and I left for the office. When we arrived back, around six, Earl was still in the kitchen. As a matter of fact, Earl was still in the kitchen when we all knocked off at ten. Maybe that will give you an idea as to how many items are in this one bedroom house. We will continue with unloading trailers tomorrow morning and bringing in the furniture in the afternoon. At the facility from today's pick up are, Murano glass, several vases, Christmas items, Disney collectibles, Coke collectibles, Pepsi thermometer, several sheds, yard tools, electronics, Johann Haviland china, kitchen ware, crystal, wine racks, yard ornaments, cement owl, shelving units, and, since it is almost mid-night, that is all I am going to list. More to follow tomorrow night. This is going to be one surprisingly beautiful auction. Plenty of photos will be uploaded late Tuesday evening. Be sure to arrive early with plans for another very late evening. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, the referrals and your continued support.
