FURNITURE: The late 18th c. old green bracket-based document box owned and ink-signed by Mercy Follett and later by the younger Robert F. Gerrish (1815-1852), both of Kittery Point, ME. Important local family provenance provided. Fine graduated six drwr. maple tall chest on bracket base. C. 1800 shaped top pine hutch table in old black finish from family of cabinetmaker Joseph Murphy of So. Berwick and Lyman, ME. Bow front four drwr. crotch mahogany chest on French feet. Four drwr. NH birch chest over shaped skirt. Two inlaid mahogany stretcher-based lowboys, one on ball and claw feet. Shapely 53 X 28 English Chippendale mirror with carved and gilded detail. Continental 46 in. oak storage box with rosette-carved skirt,  carved 1711 date, J.G. initials and wrought iron hardware. 18th c. 38 in. 18th c. dentil-molded Continental center door walnut cabinet. Early arm and side chairs. 18th c. pine case of eight storage drawers. 17 ½ in. eight drwr. spice chest in striking grain-painted surface.

Unusual forms nautical, firehouse RR, skaters’ and other lanterns. Single owner lifetime collection of 48 colorful miniature lamps, including rare forms. Asian motif and other decorative table lighting. Early 20th c. Arts & Crafts style table lamp with 16 ½ in. dragonfly shade.
