Provenance from consignor: "The Morrisseau on canvas of dragonflies came from a gallery specializing in Norval Morrisseau's called Maslak McLeod Gallery and came from the personal collection of Joe McLeod .I traded this Morrisseau for other Group of Seven native artist that he wanted..Joe told me that he purchased this directly from Morrisseau in the Red Lake area when he was up there doing some work and he knew Morrisseau personally back in the 70's."
