Furniture: Hand painted German Kas (wedding/bridal cupboard) w/portraits, dated 1805, from the family of author Ernest Poole; pieces originally owned by Elkanah Irisher, Portland, ME, including 6-drawer graduated cherry chest of drawers w/bracket base, c1780, Period mahogany swing-leg table dining table w/boxwood and string inlay, c1800, and Frederic Wingate tall case clock w/moon phase, c1816; mahogany Federal Sheraton secretary desk w/French foot and string inlay, c1790; Barclay and Gay Colonial Revival one drawer table w/carved eagle from the U.S.S. Constitution, in original finish, c1926; walnut Canterbury magazine rack, c1850; 1 drawer mahogany stand; child’s oak lift-top writing desk w/chair; Singer pedal base table; 5-drawer pine chest; mahogany arm chair w/needlepoint seat; Boston rockers; walnut nursing rocker; walnut layman’s bed; country bench in old paint; asst’d chairs and stands. Art: Paintings originally owned by Rhode Island Governor William Gregory (Lieutenant Gov. 1898-1900, Gov. 1900-1901) including oil on board “The Cotton Picker” by William Aiken Walker c1880 (painting formerly hung in the Cotton Exchange) and a large oil on canvas ship scene signed James Gale Tyler, c1895 (that hung in the Governor’s office until his death in 1901); oil/canvas still by B. Young; oil/canvas farm scene c1900; The Flying Cloud by Henry Optiz; handcolored “Birches” by Wallace Nutting; A & S 57th Anniversary sale poster by Martha Delorie; 1920’s pencil “Renee” with blue headed macan signed A.P.; pastel of child “Willie”;  assorted other art.
