That Special Event is here again!! TODAY, Saturday!!!!!! Our Lady Of Peace Church will be hosting it's 3rd Annual Auction!!! The address is 405 Lecompte Ave. The majority of the auction is indoors! (read below) The date will be TODAY, Saturday, the 14th and we will be starting at 9:00am. Be sure and write down the time because we had to set an earlier start time just because this year will be our "hugest", yes, I said "hugest" auction ever!!!! "Largest" might sound better and "hugest" might not be a word but "largest" just isn't cutting it this year!!! It's going to be HHHUUUGGGE!!!!!!!!!!! We will only be accepting cash or checks and there will be a 10% buyer's premium. However, you will not be charged sales tax so you can bid higher!! NO SALES TAX!!!! We will also be serving Chick-fil-A food and other items and drinks and coffee. We would greatly appreciate it if you made plans to eat because those funds help our youth group with upcoming events in 2017!! You can come early, around 8:00am, to preview and secure a seat. If you don't plan to be early, it might be a good idea to bring a chair because this event has proven to be packed by 9:00am the last 2 years!!! Why? Because, when you look at the hundreds of pictures I have posted, you can see this is not just your "run of the mill" charity auction. Our parishioners take this event very seriously and don't just donate things they no longer want. They donate quality items!!!! Gold and Sterling Jewelry included!! Also a good bit of Sterling bowls and things like that. You'll notice in the pictures we have a few bags of gold jewelry separated into 10K and 14K. (Oops! Someone just donated more 14K gold scrap!!!) There is also a gold Mikimoto Broach that is appraised over $250.00. There is also a Large 10K Gold Ruby Color & Diamond Ladies Ring. Just look at the pictures!!!! This year we have donations from as far away as Texas!! I'm writing this on Friday, the day before the auction and I am still adding more pictures! Some Coins were just donated by Augusta Coin Exchange on Washington Road. (Thanks Larry!!) Hey!! It's TODAY!!!! There will be a huge selection of unusual lamps and Tiffany Style Lamps. You like quality furniture??? We already have close to a hundred pieces, including many antique pieces. So much furniture, in fact, that, although the greater majority will be in the warm indoors, we were donated 2 tents to cover some of it outside. (Thanks Posey's Funeral Home!!!) We will have to have a walk around auction under the tents before we can even think about coming into the main auction room just because there will be too much stuff. We will be outside for maybe an hour or less! Most Of the auction will be in a nice warm environment with facilities!! One thing is for sure, this will be our biggest, largest, grandest, "hugest" auction yet!!! Tools!!! You like tools?? We're stuffed with tools!!! From common wrenches to specialty tools to custom made tools to large shop tools!!! We even have a large shop dust collection tool that looks new!!
As you look over the many pictures you may notice a lot of statues and other non-furniture items, especially in the many panoramic views. I want you to know that a huge percentage of these "smalls" are not actually very small!!! The room is packed almost to the ceiling with very large, large, large cool items!!! For those of you who do buy furniture and larger items, you can bring your trailers and big trucks because we are fortunate to have plenty of parking. When you arrive, look out for our outside volunteers with brightly colored shirts to direct you to our ample parking. If you can't take the larger items with you auction day we will have a pick-up day, the next Monday the 16th from 5 to 7pm. So, be sure and bid on the big stuff!! If you're a flea market dealer, we have plenty of stuff for you too because this stuff has to Go, Go, Go!!
Hi. My name is Robert Cope. ( Phone: 803-279-7474 ) I will be your auctioneer. Most of you know me from practically every auction house in the area. I'm presently the auctioneer at Antique Uniques Auction House in Belvedere. Those of you who know my style know that I run an extremely brisk auction and you'll be happy to know we seldom have any reserves!! There will be absolutely no time for boredom. You "WILL" have a blast and so much fun that you won't want it to end. The auction will take most of the day and we will be serving great food and snacks and drinks so you won't have to hardly leave your seat. Again, we would appreciate it if you made plans to purchase our Chick-fil-A sandwiches and drinks and coffee and snacks to help our youth group with their upcoming events for 2017. Remember! NO SALES TAX!!! So, in a way, we're buying your food for you!!
I also want you to contact me at 803-279-7474 with any questions or if you have any quality items to donate. We normally have a couple of "Out Of Town" absentee bids so if you're viewing this from another state, you are welcome to call me with your bid. Did I mention it's TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!
